Allowances for Kids

I’m almost embarrassed to say that I don’t remember how much I gave my kids for an allowance. It seems like years ago, but I remember that they spent a lot of time biking to the variety store.

But I thought that it would be a good topic for discussion for all of you young mothers who are wrestling with the topic. What is a good amount to give say… a ten year old for an allowance? And what conditions would you put on it?
