I couldn’t agree more. When I think back to my university days, nothing was more important than… me. I came first in everything, but the minute I laid eyes on Jamie and then Brittany, suddenly I wasn’t so important any more. For the first time in my life, I came second, and then third.

And if I am to be honest, the minute I got married, suddenly someone else other than myself mattered. But, it is nothing like the experience of having a tiny little person suddenly needing you.

I really don’t think anyone from my university days would recognize me now. Becoming a parent definitely changes you.
