Black Friday - Are You Shopping?
As a kid, I would get caught up in the hype of Black Friday and I just didn’t understand why my Mom was not ever interested at getting up at the crack of dawn after hosting Thanksgiving dinner to face crowds of shoppers. Now I understand and things are different now - companies are making it just as tempting to stay home in your jammies and snatch the good deals online. That is more my style - I will do the majority of my Christmas shopping online.
How about you? Do you prefer to shop in stores or online? Have you started your shopping yet? I started last week and already have the items the kids really want and the items that may not be in stock as we get closer to the big day.
Amazon is by far my favorite online store - they have never let me down and their shipping is faster than anyone else’s. For Black Friday, Amazon will be featuring exclusive deals every hour from 6 am-6 pm. I will be checking them out, because I still have to shop for my husband, teachers, and some relatives.

Ohh my I value my sleep so much. I’ve never participated in Black Friday shopping and I am ALWAY in AWE of the footage I catch on the news later that day with the Crowds of people running thu the stores :)
I prefer to sit in my bed, watching Law & Order on my TIVO and shopping from my laptop ;) quick and painless :)

Well I did do the Black Friday shopping trip this year, and it was a total waste! My daughter wanted a Zune MP3 player that was $79.99, regularly $199.99. She had been saving forever and had the money, so we got up at 4am and headed to ToysRus…..along with 500 other people who actually were already in line when we got there. Needless to say they were sold out long before we even got in the store. I’m sleeping in next year!

Our families live in two different countries and we live in a third, so online shopping save me a lot of money on shipping. This year though, Christmas is going to be more abour generosity and less about stuff, so I need links to great charites rather than great online shops.

Hubby woke me up and we went with my 2 grown daughters at 3:30 am. We dropped them off at JCPenney, and we went to walmart. We ended up with loads of great bargains. Loss of sleep, however, we got most of our shopping done.
