Camp Weary Parent Room Swap
One of my kids favorite shows to watch is Trading Spaces, Boys vs. Girls, where the teams redecorate each others’ rooms.
Depending on which kids you have around today, team them up and give them a challenge - the challenge being to rearrange a room in the house. If you are not up to tackling a bedroom, have them rearrange a smaller room.
If you have the resources, time and motivation, use this as a stepping stone for taking on a larger project of repainting or adding some new accessories to the room.
Take before and after photos, and get inspiration from the Trading Spaces Kids site by checking out the instructions for many of the finishing touches they add to the rooms. Kids can also practice designing their dream room at the Trading Spaces site in the Roommaker.
