Divorced Dads Raising Kids
THE era of the divorced mother bringing up kids on her own is coming to an end, with figures showing more fathers have custody of their children and are receiving child support payments.
Fathers are increasingly working part-time and learning to change nappies and pack school lunches, in order to have the kids live with them. Figures released yesterday by the Child Support Agency show more than 15 per cent of people applying for child support in the last year were men who had the kids living with them full-time.
In total, more than one in ten parents receiving child support payments are men, up more than two per cent since 2000.
Child Support Agency general manager Matt Miller told The Daily Telegraph it was a marked shift towards fathers playing a more hands-on role in their children’s lives.”
As the article pointed out… it’s all about what is best for the child, but it seems that things are definitely changing.

I am going through a divorce wright now i have custody of my 6 children. My soon to be ex has not seen her children in 7 months by her choice. the children say that i take better care of them than there mom did when she was here. I feel like there is a double standard . their is more support for women than men. thank you.
