Easter Basket Ideas for Tweens and Teens
In my book, you are never too old for an Easter basket, however, the older my kids get, the more creative I have to be with what goes in them. Since I am the Queen of Procrastination, I just went to the store this morning to get the contents of their baskets this year - good thing - they start Spring Break tomorrow.
I have two girls (easy) and one boy (difficult) to buy for and while I want their Easter baskets to be fun, this is not Christmas, so I do not go overboard. Also, my daughter has braces this year so her list of acceptable candy has been drastically reduced.
In Tween Boy’s Easter Basket:
- Chocolate Bunny (required)
- Peeps
- Book (The Lost Colony (Artemis Fowl, Book 5))
- Card game (Take the Train)
- Pop Up / Collapsible Pocket Frisbee
- Flip Flops & Sun Glasses
In Tween Girl’s Easter Basket:
- Chocolate Bunny (required)
- Nail Polish
- Silly Socks
- Jump Rope
- Funky Monkey Piggy Bank
- Spring shirt
More ideas:
- iTunes gift card
- Gift card for their favorite store/restaurant/movies
- Hair Accessories
- Magazines
- Webkinz Duck 0r any other Webkinz/stuffed animal
- Movie
- Video Game
- Journal and some funky pens
- Keepsake box (use as Easter basket)
- Beach towel or beach bag
Happy Easter!

My preteen daughter is in the transition stage between tomboy and girly girly, so her basket is going to range from pirate tattoos and a bracelet with skulls on it to necklaces and cute animal cell phone charms! You’re right, it was much easier when they were babies.
