How To Roast Pumpkin Seeds

Old pal Denise over at Parenting of Adolescents at About.com has decided to give a lesson on how to roast pumpkin seeds. Actually, I’m beginning to see some pumpkins out and about our neighborhood, but none have yet to be carved. But it is a reminder to go and grab some before the best ones are gone. Halloween will be here before you know it!!

And yes, I just had to go and see what trivia I could find about pumpkins…

Have you ever wondered how the pumpkin became associated with Halloween??

I think my dad used to grow pumpkins for us when we were a kid, but his certainly didn’t weight this much. This is unbelieveable!!

Any idea how many hours it would take to bake a 5′ in diameter pie to bake? Yes, it has been done and the pie required 36 pounds of sugar!!
