I’m One Weary Parent Tonight
After spending the last two days on the road, I’m happy to be able to sleep in my own bed tonight. I don’t know how kids manage to sleep in the car because I certainly can’t do it. I am able to manage about 15 minutes and then I’m wide awake. Have to admit, that I’m really going to miss Florida… especially now that as I look out the window, we have snow! I much perfer warm breezes and palm trees but I guess I will have to wait until our next trip.
If there is anyone out there who loves the winter, I sure would like to know what appeals to you! At the moment, I can’t think of a thing!

Actually, I do miss winter. I miss the dazzling rays of sunlight bouncing off the snow. I miss the chilly snap in the air that makes me move more quickly. I miss the smell of impending snow that gives me a little sense of thirst, of preparation and anticipation for going home and staying close to those I love.
And, I miss cross country skiing.

Perhaps that’s the problem then, lol… I have never really tried winter sports. I have always hated being cold so I pretty much stay inside until spring arrives. Maybe I have been missing something all these years. I bought a parka this year, so just maybe I should take it out of the closet.
