New DVD on Teen Dating
Prom season is upon us and many teens will find themselves in a hormone charged environment where expectations will be high and boundaries may be blurred. At times, all common sense may be out the window. But teen dating is not limited to the prom season, and teens are dating at even earlier ages than ever before.
Help! My Teen is Dating is a new DVD/Book combo to help parents and teens be more informed and make better choices when it comes to dating. Author Mike Domitrz and his team have created an interactive resource for teens and their families.
The combo includes an 80 minute interactive DVD that provides real solutions to tough conversations on dating, intimacy, the dangers of dating, how to get your teen to talk and listen, how to talk to your teen’s date, and how to be there for your child. Also included in the combo are the book May I Kiss You? A Candid Look at Dating, Communication, Respect, & Sexual Assault Awareness and Voices of Courage: Inspiration from Survivors of Sexual Assault.
All three elements of the combo are presented using language and examples that teens and parents can relate to. Real life examples are used and summary “take aways” are used as review.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who has a teen or preteen. Remember, communication is the key and this series gives solid communication tools and tips to make both the parent and teen more confident with the process.
