Prescription Drug Abuse on the Rise
The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University reports an increase in prescription controlled drug abuse amongs teens. Controlled drugs include narcotic pain relievers such as Vicodin, central nervous system depressants such as Valium and stimulants such as Ritalin.
Parents should talk with their kids about drugs and rug abuse and monitor these substances if they have them in their medicine cabinets.

This whole issue is very disturbing ! There needs to be more serious discussion on treatment. I just read an interesting article @ harmonyfirst.blogspot.com about this very same issue.
