Sometimes it’s all just too much
“Some days it is just too hard. Motherhood can drain you unlike anything else I can imagine. Today was one of those days for me. I don’t know if I hit my limit, the kids hit theirs or a bit of both, but it was NOT a good day here.
To such a degree that I jumped into the car just to get away. I drove and drove until I realized I had driven to a point that I needed to turn around if I was going to. It was that point that I sat in the parking lot of a hotel asking myself, “Can I go back to it all tonight or should I just stay here until tomorrow?”
There will be days when you are ready to pull your hair out by the roots. Your job is to find whatever it takes to make everything right with the world again. And I read something a few years ago that stuck… something about how much difference this will make a year from now. Kind of puts things into perspective for you. I have a habit of blowing things way out of proportion.
