Staying up with Harry Potter

Yesterday we went to the bookstore and my son bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with his birthday money. He took the book up to bed with him and said he was only going to read for 30 minutes.  Somewhere around midnight I happened to walk past his room and the light was still on. He was still reading -  2 hours later!

It must be a good book and if I have to “bust” my son for not following instructions, at least it was for something like reading a book.

Who else is reading Harry Potter right now? Is it really one you can’t put down?

    I don’t do real well with a set of stories that leaves me hanging for too long. When I realized how good the left behind series was I stopped reading them until the last book came out because I couldn’t stand the thought of being left hanging.

    Since that time I decided to do the same thing with Harry Potter and especially since the movies started coming out. Everybody knows how much better a book is compared to the movies. So now that the Harry Potter series is complete I can take the time to start reading them from the beginning.

    Yesterday we were at Walmart and found only one book and it had a security tag on it! The original price was $65.00 - for one book? They had some sort of 40% off deal going on. But still… that’s SKY HIGH. So we put the book back and we’re going to wait!

    I’ve yet to pick it up to read it, it just sits there taunting me. I should really get into it but need to write up those giveaways for tomorrow now but must finish it by thursday when inlaws come.

    I’m in the middle of it now, and it’s wonderful! Will hopefully be finished by tomorrow!
