The Best Birthday Cake
Teens love birthdays just as much as the younger set but I think that instead of a theme cake, they are more interested in sophistication and tons of fudge frosting. Here’s a recipe that I found this morning that looks awfully good to me! Image is everything to a teen!
Ingredient list…
Vegetable oil spray
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 lb. butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tbs. vanilla extract
2 cups cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup ice water

I thought I’d be able to resist the chocolate fudge cake on the counter today but after seeing this picture, guess not!

We have a rule in our house. I bake on Friday and dessert is served weekends only. Most of the time it’s polished off by Sunday night and then we are back to heathier fruit desserts for weekdays. Only once did I have to send dessert home to Jamie’s house. He doesn’t follow our rules anymore lol…
