What a Hug Can Do - January 8th
If you thought that hugs were no big deal, take a few minutes to read this account of two twins.
“Kyrie and Brielle Jackson were born on 17 October 1995 at the Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA. Each of the twins weighed all of two pounds at birth. Though Kyrie was putting on a bit of weight in the days following her arrival, Brielle was not doing as well. She cried a great deal, leaving her gasping and blue-faced.”
According to all accounts, one particular nurse decided that it wouldn’t hurt to place Brielle into the incubater with her sister. Nothing else had worked, so having read about the practice, she decided to give it a try.
Amost immediately, the little girl snuggled up to her sister and her health steadily improved.
When was the last time you hugged someone? It might accomplish a lot more than you ever imagined.

It only works for a while, though.
One of my favorite things to watch these days is when our kids (twins) give each other a hug before bed. They do it quick and then dash to their own beds. It is pretty humorous.

That’s so awesome though. And that picture just says so much.
